Ukraine continues to implement a chemical products regulatory system aligned with the European REACH and CLP framework. Businesses should determine which requirements apply to their products and which procedures must be completed.
What UA-CLP requires
UA-CLP establishes requirements for hazard classification, labelling and packaging of chemical products. Information on the classification and labelling of hazardous substances may also need to be submitted.
For hazardous substances already on the market, an important deadline is 6 December 2026.
Businesses should review substance and mixture classification, labels, hazard communication elements and the validity of their safety data sheets (SDS).
What UA-REACH requires
UA-REACH governs registration, evaluation and safe use of chemical substances. One important transitional step is preliminary state registration of chemical substances. The deadline is 26 January 2027.
