Applies to electrical equipment designed for use at 50–1000 V AC or 75–1500 V DC. Compliance is demonstrated through a self-issued Declaration of Conformity (Module A) — no notified body required.
The regulation covers any electrical equipment designed for use at a rated voltage of:
Standard mains voltage of 220 V / 380 V falls within the regulation's scope. This is the broadest technical regulation in Ukraine's electrical safety framework.
The following are excluded from the regulation's scope (Annex 1 to CMU Resolution №1067):
Ukraine LVD provides a single conformity assessment procedure — Module A (internal production control). This means:
For electrical equipment covered by Ukraine LVD, only Module A applies — a manufacturer's self-declaration without a notified body. A certificate of conformity under this regulation is not required.
Ukrainian legislation does not impose a mandatory expiry date on declarations of conformity. The declaration remains valid for the full production and market period of the product.
Minimum: manufacturer details (name, address, signatory), product description and technical specifications, list of applied standards. Test reports if available.
Yes. If a product falls under LVD, EMC and RoHS simultaneously, a single combined declaration covering all three regulations is standard practice.
